We had an amazing rest of the day on our walk, the highlight of which was walking, skidding and, in some cases tumbling, down the huge, steep banks of ‘Run Away Hill’ (named for obvious reasons).
On the home leg we encountered some of the stickiest, welly sucking mud we had ever seen. The pictures probably describe the scenes better than I can.
We returned to hot chocolate and some of Fraser’s birthday cake.
Tonight…the bonfire. Singing voices at the ready.
